4th Of July- Part II

First of all, I have to say that Ashtin's favorite Independence Day joke is: "What other countries in the world besides the United States has the "4th of July"? Every country has a 4th day of July! Ha-ha-ha... Ok, with that in mind, the afternoon of the 4th was more good, clean fun (OK, maybe not so clean with the egg tossing game). Our surrounding neighborhoods get together and have yet another bike parade- however, this second bike parade of the day was taken to a higher level, as it had a canon, a drummer and a bag piper!! The kids also got to play some fun games (hence the egg mess) and then the local firefighters came with the firetruck and the kids got to spray the hose! Late afternoon, we went to our neighbors/friends house for some more "good eats". In fact, our buddy Scott had been smoking all day and I'm not talking about nicotine! He has a fancy "smoker" and had "smoked" tons of pork ribs slathered in BBQ sauce, mmmm, mmmm. The saying "Good friends, Good food, Good times" was definately applicable. The evening capped off with fireworks that rival any small city "show" and we didn't even have to travel anywhere for our viewing pleasure, it was a fun, eventful day!
